Once again, the six stations of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya are celebrating World Snow Day, an activity promoted by the International Ski Federation (FIS) that was created with the aim of bringing snow activities closer to children and their families. At the same time, the aim is to spread the importance of caring for and respecting the environment, as well as to make known the benefits of practicing winter sports.

To celebrate this important event, the FGC ski and mountain resorts will offer a series of recreational and sports activities designed for all audiences on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19.

Vallter will organize a snowman contest for children. All participants will be able to create figures, sculptures or any original construction using snow as the main material. All participants will receive a prize for their originality and effort.

Still in Ripollès, Vall de Núria will celebrate the whitest day of the year with a weekend full of activities. Saturday will host a new edition of the now traditional Nit del Papus, in which participants will ski under the stars while escaping from the papus. The activity will be accompanied by a torchlight descent for young and old, followed by a barbecue with music. Sunday will be the turn of a concert by the Barcelona Polyphonic Choir at the station's Basilica.

In Alta Ribagorça, the Boí Taüll resort will have fun with a draw on social networks. Participating is very simple. All you have to do is go to the station's 360º Photocall and show your best version of yourself in "ski mode" by recording a video and uploading it to Instagram Stories, mentioning @boitaull_. Two one-day ski passes will be raffled among all the people who participate.

The two resorts in the region of Pallars, Espot Esquí and Port Ainé, will be giving away five Tubbing runs for all children aged 5 to 14 who have a day pass or a season pass. The meeting point will be at the Parc Lúdic of both resorts at 12:00 pm.

The Girona resort of La Molina will have activities planned to introduce snow sports to the little ones. In this regard, a make-up workshop and a badge and magnet workshop will be organised in the Costa Rasa-Torrent area during the morning. This is a free and open activity for anyone who has a day pass or a season pass.
